This is a private page for our family and friends to view the progress of our new home .Visit us from time to time to see our new home developing.

April 16, 2006

It's hard to believe it is over six years since I have updated this page. In that time I have celebrated my 50th year of graduation from Notre Dame (2004) and have visited a number of family and friends.

Mary Ann has been very active, taking on a new job with CURVES. She works a few days a week. In addition, she has been active in the church, taking over the Adoration Society.

All in all, we are still active people, eventhough we are growing older.

Well, we passed the Y2K crisis, and are in the middle of winter here in central Florida. Winter here is without snow, but we do get the cold weather. In fact, the temperatures have been in the low 20's at sometime.

We did take a quick trip north to Auburn, NY to visit an old friend of Mary Ann's. She was like Mary Ann's second mother. Unfortunately, she has cancer, and not too much time to live.

As you can see, we had a new picture taken. This is our "mug" shot for the local community directory. It turned out well, and you are welcome to copy it for your files.

August 16, 1999

Since the last time this page was updated we have traveled over 6,950 miles up North to see our family and friends. We also spent about a week in the midwest , and had the opportunity to attend Hugh's 45th reunion of his graduating class at Notre Dame in South Bend, IN. Now we are back home enjoying the warm Florida weather.

The project of showing the house has been put on hold. There is too much to do in the garden, and our social life keeps us very busy. If you call, you may not find us home. However, do leave a message and we will return your call

The outside of the house is finally shaping up. With a litle landscaping and the planting of a big tree, it looks like we have always lived here. Take a look by clicking here.

Well, we finally have all our furniture in place. In the next few months we will be reshowing the roooms which have changed along with the new furniture. The weather here in Ocala has been very much like New Jersey, except that the afteroons are warm (most of the time). We have had temperatures in the low 20's for a few days. We hope now that winter is finally over. Come back in a couple of weeks and see the changes.

We finally closed on our home after the builder missed three closing dates. We have started the unpacking process. Much of our time is spent shopping for new furniture and getting those little odds and ends which make a house a home. Hope to get some new pictures of the completed house shortly. Here we are, ready to close, but the builder is behind schedule. This is the second closing date he has missed. We are staying in a hotel in Ocala as his guests. We have completely moved from Fort Pierce, FL where we had been staying with our good friend Ellen since the end of March.

On our way back from the North we stopped at Ocala to check on the building. We are now expecting a closing date of August 27th.
